Campbell River Whale Watching

 

Join Campbell River Whale Watching as we cruise the Discovery passage to Toba Inlet, where we will disembark our vessel and spend 3 hours on land viewing Grizzlies along the river with the Klahoose First Nation. This tour is roughly 8hrs.

Discovery Fishing Pier

The Discovery Fishing Pier extends 150ft shore & is 600ft long allowing for unobstructed views of the Discovery Passage and Quadra Island. We recommend grabbing a cup of coffee or tea from Stonehouse Teas walking over and enjoying the views at either sunset or sunrise.

West Coast Grizzly {West Water Taxi}

 

West Coast Grizzly tours travel to the remote Toba Inlet to view grizzly bears in their natural habitat, in partnership with Klahoose Coastal Adventures. The Journey to Toba inlet takes roughly 2hrs, along the way many wildlife sightings are possible so keep your eyes peeled for humpback whales, orcas, dolphins, seals and much more! Guests are given 3hrs of the bear viewing time lead by First Nations guides who will share information about the area and their culture.

Eagle Eye Adventures

Eagle Eye’s knowledgable naturalists will guide you through the Discovery Passage to Toba Inlet to view grizzly bears feeding on the Klite River. The 3hr bear viewing portion of the tour is lead by the Klahoose First Nation. (This tour is roughly 8hrs)

Located between the communities of Gold River and Tahsis, the Upana Caves make for a great day trip from Campbell River. Beginners can explore the wide open galleries, while experienced spelunkers can delve deeper into the vast underground network! Elk Falls

 

Elk Falls Provincial Park is located just 10 min from Downtown Campbell River along Hwy 28. This park boasts a scenic trail network and has the tallest suspension bridge on Vancouver Island which over looks the falls. The Park was established in 1940 to protect the waterfall and canyon.

Lady Falls

 

This hike is a nice family-friendly activity for those visiting Strathcona Park. The stunning Lady Falls are nestled deep in the enchanted forest of the Cervus Creek Valley. The trail has a moderate uphill grade to the viewing platform. While you can not collect points at this location as you are out of cell range, the view is your reward.

Miracle Beach

 

Miracle Beach Provincial Park is one of 5 provincial parks in the Campbell River and Strathcona Region. Located about 20 minutes south of Campbell River, this is a great family destination complete with picnic tables & washrooms. It is an ideal spot to spend a day exploring the shores & 2km of forested trails.

Lupin Falls

 

Lupin Falls are located in Strathcona Park along Buttle Lake Road about 1 hour from Campbell River. The 20-minute looping trail around Lupin Falls leads through a mossy forest and over creek beds. The waterfall itself cascades down the high rocky bank to the creek below, a stunning example of the natural wonders in our area. Nature lovers rejoice! Lower Myra Falls

Lower Myra Falls are located in Strathcona Park about an hour and half drive from Campbell River. The falls are one of the parks most iconic spots. The trail is about 1 km with an upper viewing and lower viewing area.
